SUNY New Paltz announces its Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester, a recognition for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

A record 71 Muhlenberg College student-athletes were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field, court, track and course with their selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2018 season.

The University of Scranton conferred nearly 600 master's and doctoral degrees at its graduate commencement ceremony on May 26 in the Byron Recreation Complex. Graduates recognized at the ceremony include those who completed their degree requirements in August and December of 2017, as well as January and May of 2018.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The University of Scranton conferred more than 890 bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Very Reverend Timothy P. Kesicki, S.J., president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, read the remarks of the principal speaker Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, who was unable to attend the ceremony in person because he is undergoing treatment for a form of acute leukemia. Both Father Kesicki and Bishop Murry, in absentia, received honorary degrees from the University. Honorary degrees were also presented to Sister Ann Walsh, I.H.M., former CEO and current assistant director of Friends of the Poor; William Whitaker, founding president of the Washington Jesuit Academy, Washington. D.C.; and Cecelia Lynett Haggerty, Times-Shamrock Communications and former University trustee.

As a culmination of a year's worth of research, Siena's First-Year Seminar (FYS) program holds an annual Student Research Conference for freshmen to present their final research projects.

Alpha Kappa Delta, the international sociology honor society, welcomed three new inductees from Coastal Carolina University on May 6. Alpha Kappa Delta seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition.

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ have been named to the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Fall 2017 semester.

To be considered for induction, students must rank in the upper seven percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class or upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class. The University's chapter of the honor society was established in 1997.

In fact, 52.4% of the Class of 2017our graduates from the studied abroad during their college career. The College supports four discipline-specific study abroad opportunities as well as offering over 100 approved programs in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa.

Induction is open to students who major or minor in business, have at least sophomore academic standing, and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The University's honor society was established in 1982.

A group of Loyola computer science students won top awards at two local hackathons this semester when teams competed at The Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University.

One hundred and six students out of 210 enrolled in the PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University currently have GPAs above a 3.0. The minimum GPA to remain eligible for the program is a 2.0.

Students at the University of Findlay recently participated in the musical theatre production, "Funny Girl."

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
